Baseball History Exhibit
All July (Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Mansfield Historical Museum (102 N. Main St.)
Come learn about Mansfield’s impact on America’s Pastime, the biggest moments in the city’s baseball history and some of the elite few who have gone from Mansfield teams to the Big Leagues. Admission to the museum is free.
July 13 (6-9 p.m.) McKnight Park East (700 US 287 Frontage Rd.)
Grab your whiffle bat, step up to the plate and launch one out of the park at our Mansfield Home Run Derby. Registration is $20 and comes with a free t-shirt and other goodies, plus prizes for the winners of each age group. All proceeds go to the Team Hilliard Foundation, supporting research and awareness for ALS. The charity was founded by Sam Hilliard, a Mansfield High graduate and Major League ballplayer who tragically lost his father to the disease. Join the Mansfield Parks Department with this special evening edition of their 100 Hours of Play with free wiffle ball games, baseball activities and a baseball movie under the stars on one of the fields. Bring those blankets and enjoy a great night! Admission is free.
